Commercial chimney flues have a plethora of names: liner, riser, stack, flue and exhaust pipe.
Chimney liners also come in different shapes, sizes and material. This particular chimney is a boiler exhaust made of stainless steel with a 55" Ø. In most cases, a company would build a scaffold to complete this type of job.
As you can see, we're using an electric boseman's chair. It's also referred to as a suspended scaffold but is way more efficient and substantially cheaper than building a standard scaffold.
Pieces are usually elevated by hand, using a rope, from the roof. If the pieces are heavy, like in this case, a chain block is used.
We are licensed and insured, commercial chimney flue installers serving the 5 boroughs of New York City.
